When the St. Louis Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors held a review and forecast of the St. Louis commercial real estate industry in 1984, we had no idea the event would grow to be the largest commercial real estate event in St. Louis more than 20 years later. Held April 10, 2007, the 23rd Annual SIOR St. Louis Metro Market Forecast attracted more than 800 people to the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis.

Attended by real estate professionals, bankers, insurance brokers, economic developers, accountants, contractors and mortgage brokers from throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area, the forecast provides an overview of the previous year’s major commercial real estate deals and transactions and a forecast of where the market is headed the current year. The event includes a national overview and comparison from the SIOR international president. Local SIOR professionals then present on the office, industrial and investment markets. In addition to the market presentations, our specialty topic this year was urban renewal.

The 2008 Metro Market Forecast will be held Tuesday, March 25, at the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis. If you are interested in attending, please contact Claire Goldfarb at Hughes, 314-571-6348 or cgoldfarb@hughes-stl.com.
